The Virginmarys are a British rock band known for their energetic and raw sound which blends elements of punk, grunge, and alternative rock. Formed in Macclesfield, England, by Ally Dickaty and Danny Dolan, the band initially gained prominence in 2013 with their debut album « King of Conflict », which debuted #3 on the Billboard New Artist Alternative Chart and #8 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. They have brought their highly charged live show extensively throughout the UK, Europe, USA, and Japan, supporting artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, Shinedown, Slash and the Sisters Of Mercy.

Their music is characterised by powerful guitar riffs, vigorous drumming, and emotive, gritty vocals, often featuring thought-provoking and passionate lyrics, tackling personal struggles to social and political themes. Their sound, both melodic and aggressive, has a sense of rebellion and sincerity that resonates with their audience. Nouba Nouba : une créature bicéphale, une digression dichotomique avec des tambours qui claquent et des cordes qui vibrent intensément. 

De la nuance dans la sauvagerie, de la poésie dans la noirceur, des danses endiablées sous une charmille. Un coquelicot fleurissant sur un tas de fumier.  

Ce duo explosif fut formé en pleine pandémie, ils cherchèrent un remède à coup de boucles, d’arpégiateurs et de syncopes. Beats de batterie survitaminés, loops gourmandes, mise en abîme, montagnes russes. Ca dévale et ça fait du bien.  

Avec ces deux loustics, vous devriez sentir votre tête hocher d’elle-même sur son socle, puis la seconde d’après un pogo incontrôlable gagner votre corps entier, suivi d’une joyeuse transe. Rock par ci, électro par là, un peu de math aussi. Ils font tout, ouvrez les frontières !!
